The Rich deception

Matthew 13:22
The seed falling among the thorns refers to someone who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, making it unfruitful.

When Jesus the master architect of heaven and earth, the one who was and is and is to come said this I was intrigued. The Alpha and Omega all knowing the great I am just said something that hit the spot and hinted towards a solving a conundrum.

The deception of riches!!!

What also intrigued me was that he didn't go into detail at that point but just went over it. As if He was so sure about it He didn't have to convince anyone. 

He knew the deep truth about the deception of riches He is so advanced the game cant play HIM. 

Deep down we know there is something wrong about this wealth chasing rat racing game.

As someone once said " fish are the last things to see water" We are so drowning in this deception so much so that we have become desensitized to it.

If we have the basics covered such as food clothing and acomodation why  are we depriving our selves of so much peace and pleasure, quality time with our families and loved ones chasing after money.

This end up becoming like a mirage or insatiable appetite, a carrot stick that keeps you running on a treadmill but not quite getting anywhere.

As Solomon through the inspiration and power of God put it... "all you can do with the fruit of your labor (wealth) is eat drink and be merry...."

Truth be told that's just about it, this is why people accumulate wealth just go on holidays. What do people do on holidays ?

" THEY EAT DRINK AND BE HAPPY"

Money has limitations, we must learn to know them and not drain and strain ourselves chasing the wind

Why must I loose time,peace and sleep to then take all this money and buy a R3 million Rand car. When I could have taken only ten percent of that time bought a R300 000.00 brand new  car and spent the rest of my time resting with my family. 

There is so much to look forwards to in terms of eternal life why must we spend so much temporary time to lose eternal time.

Why do we spend so much our our lives losing eternal life? You can have them you can never truly own them. You die and leave it all here and theres nothing you can do about it.

I will write more and more posts about this deception as the Lord reveals and gives me more references with verses from the bible.

Emotional financial problems

You don't have financial problems you have emotional problems. Marketing companies know that to tap into your pocket they must tap into your emotions. Adverts are targeted towards your emotions. if you can learn to control your emotions you will control your life. Unfortunately we live in a world that has marketed the concept of following your emotion as your god and letting them dictate what you do. 


Phrases such as follow your heart sound empowering but are the most dangerous to accept. You cannot always do what you feel, most of the time what you feel may not be good for you. Unfortunately it is said that emotions are 14 to 20 times more powerful than logic so how do you control your life.


Emotions have a role in that the fuel actions, Infact the word emotion comes from the word motive or motion it is the force that propels your decision not make decisions for you.
The best way to control your emotions is by preconditioning them by meditating on Gods words and knowledge prior to them acting up on you. This knowledge is the Word of God. You need to know what is right before your emotions decide for you. I have found that the Word of God has a special place in our heart and lives and is the compass that leads us towards the right direction. 


Words trigger emotions and then emotions triggers decisions and decisions trigger actions. So if you are filled with the Word of God you will ultimately make godly decisions and actions in every area of your life. You will be a perfect image/reflection of God. Your thought process actions will be so advanced people will call you a genius meanwhile you were just following simple instructions and directions on how we should llive our lives.
Psalm 119:99 - 101

I have more understanding

than all my teachers: for thy testimonies are my meditation.

I understand more than the ancients, because I keep thy precepts.

I have refrained my feet from every evil way, that I might keep thy word.

Looking at my previous blogs you will realise profound wisdom in God simple Word this is because God is so advanced and His simple instruction anticipates a thousand moves.

Proverbs 21:30

There is no wisdom, no insight, no plan, no advice that can succeed against the LORD.

God is so advanced he had anticipated what the devil and his Illuminati cronies will do thousands of years in advance so much so that he wrote the book or revelations to prove it.

So in diligently following the simple Word of God you will outsmart, out play and avoid every plan or trap of the wicked one.

Sometimes I wonder why I should work so painstakingly hard just to chase pride. What is the difference between a Ferrari and a Corrola? Pride. What is the price of pride. Does God want us to be proud? Will God bless us to be proud show offs? Why would I buy a 2 seatter Ferrari for millions of Rands when I can get a 7 seater Hyundai H1 for ten times less? Not to mention the cost of maintenance. With Ferrari money I could build a legacy or help those in need. The value of an extremely High priced car is mostly in the mind, the difference between the actual raw material or cost of manufacture and its price is what is called intellectual Capital.

When you buy a Ferrari you buy the idea behind it, the pride. The pride of life. Now we know what the bible says about the lust of the eyes the pride of life and the love of the world. These are the trappings of the world.

Now Iam not saying Christians must be poor but they must check their intentions and extent to which they do things, God measures the heart.

James 4:2 - 3

Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.

3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.

The right reasons to acquire weath.

A few examples

To pay of debts and be debt free.

To provide for your family

To protect your family

To have free time so you can focus on what matters

To be in control of your situation

To help the poor

To fund the gospel

I have noticed that when one is blessed by God and riches are counted there is no mention of money though money did exist. Ones wealth would be counted in terms of the real assets one had.

This again shows me the simplicity in Gods wisdom. God has chosen simplicity to confound the wise if you chose to take Him seriously at His Word you will discover great things.

In this blog I will talk about 12 types of Capital of which only 1 is money. In the above verses Solomon who himself was the richest and wisest of his time discussed the volatility of financial Capital and stability of Natural capital.

WHY SHOULD CHRISTIANS KNOW THIS?

Because you shouldn't go hungry without food or sex (If ur married) unless you are intentionally in a fast. Lack or poverty makes you vulnerable. The devil knows how to capitalize on your vulnerability. Remember how Jesus was tempted when He was hungry and Essau sold his birthright for a bowl of soup? You too should avoid finding yourself weak in a crisis. As the Bible says 

Prov 24:10
10 If you are weak in a crisis, you are weak indeed.

Make sure you are balanced when disaster strikes.

12 TYPES OF CAPITAL.  ( researched from wikipedia)

Capital is said to be the means of production
or as Wikipedia puts it " Produced goods that are used to produce products or services "
or as I put it " things that help you be productive "

1- SPIRITUAL CAPITAL
Spiritual capital is said to be the ability to be productive because of spiritual powers or relations that one has.
First and foremost God is the one who gives us power to produce reproduce and make wealth. 
Deuteronomy 8:18
But remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth,

2- HUMAN CAPITAL
 Wikipedia- Human capital is the stock of competencies, knowledge, social and personality attributes, including creativity, embodied in the ability to perform labor so as to produce economic value.

In Other words people employed within a company.


3-Individual Capital
Wikipedia-Individual capital, the economic view of talent, comprises inalienable or personal traits of persons, tied to their bodies and available only through their own free will, such as skill,creativity, enterprise, courage, capacity for moral example, non-communicable wisdom, invention or empathy, non-transferable personal trust and leadership.

In other words you as a person outside/exclusive of a Company or employment.

4-Intellectual Capital
Wikipedia-Intellectual capital is the difference in value between tangible assets (physical and financial) and market value.

In other word the value of the ideas/concepts  

5-Social Capital
WIKI-In sociology, social capital is the expected collective or economic benefits derived from the preferential treatment and cooperation between individuals and groups.

In other words your connections.

6-Organisational Capital
Organizational capital was first defined by Prescott and Visscher (1980) to be the accumulation and use of private infomation to enhance production efficiency within a firm (wikipedia)

In other word How you run things.

7-Public Capital
Public capital is the aggregate body of government-owned assets that are used as the means for private productivity.

In other words Government infrastructure.


8-Natural Capital
Natural capital is thus the stock of natural ecosystems that yields a flow of valuable ecosystem goods or services into the future. 

In other word Natural resources

9-Relational Capital
Relational capital is defined as all relationships - market relationships, power relationships and cooperation - established between firms, institutions and people.

10-Structural Capital
Structural Capital is everything in an organization that supports employees (Human Capital) in their work.

11-Cultural Capital
 This is the wealth you attain by virtue of your upbringing and family background

12-Financial Capital
Financial capital is money used by entrepreneurs and businesses to buy what they need to make their products or to provide their services to the sector of the economy upon which their operation is based, i.e. retail, corporate, investment banking.

This is only one people talk about when they say " I DO NOT HAVE CAPITAL" and I have intentionally put at the end. 

We are so focused on money that we miss so much wealth God has blessed us with.

If you can balance all these forms of capital you will find that finance can account for only 1/12 (8.3 percent) of your wealth or means of producing wealth. No wonder people feel poor they only measure what they can withdraw at the bank.

For us to be free from those who control the money we need to be free from money. This is a concept I have been trying to get across since 2007 Im glad  I was led( I believe), by the Holy Spirit to find an intellectual resource to draw from and back up these claims.

I say this not to boast by to give God the credit that HE laid this in my heart and mind and showed in his Word (the Bible) before I could even read anywhere else about it.

I remember were we discussing with an academic friend as well as relative years ago about wealth and how black people are poor and have nothing and a though quickly dropped in my mind " WE HAVE PRAYER" he dismissed that immediately. 

His academic background had channeled his thinking in a way that limited his perspective. 

God's wisdom in simplicity

The simplicity of Gods wisdom.

1st Cor 1:27
But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong.

Its amazing to me how many stupid decisions I have made by ignoring simple instructions in Gods word. For example the  bible teaches us in 1st Corinthians 13  Love does not parade itself, it is not boastful... and Jesus said so many times that  He that humbles himself will be exalted and he that exalts himself will be humbled.

Lets take more of these simple verses for example
ITimothy 6: 6 -> 10
6 But godliness with contentment is great gain. 7 For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. 8 But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that. 9 Those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. 10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.

Romans 13:8-10

How many budgeting decisions have you made in error because of neglecting these simple scriptures. You did not need that Lamborgini, Ferrari, Bmw, Mercedes or that LARGE HOUSE but because you were not satisfied and grateful with what you had. You were doing fine with that decent car and 2 bedroom house.  You Wanted to parade yourself and make a show off. You lusted after what you saw  YOU WANTED MOOORE and you just had to go for it. Now your budget is tight are in debt, u are miserable, frustrated and irritable taking it out on your fellow human loving less cheating, lying and stealing causing more sin.

That being said God can make you rich but you have to be on the right state of mind and heart, seeking the Kingdom of God as 1st priority in your life.

ITimothy 6: 17 -> 19
17 Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. 18 Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds,and to be generous and willing to share. 19 In this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life.

Matthew 6:33
For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
